I am going to try to go to RK Bridal next weekend to start trying on gowns!!! Yay!
Do they limit the number of people you can bring with you? I think I'll have 3 people, plus me. That's ok, right?
Also, I heard they are very hurried, etc. Can everyone please walk me through their experiences there? Do the consultants bring dresses to you, or do I have to find them myself? Are they helpful if I can describe certain silhouettes?

Re: Another RK Bridal Question
I live in NYC and just tried on dresses there, so its a lot better than people or online reviews make it out to be-- which would be a crazed, packed warehouse... 1. so you basically walk into the store, they take down your info and put you on a waitlist, I went on a weekday, so I had a about two people ahead of me. 2. While you are waiting, you walk around the store where there are a bunch of huge racks full of dresses seperated by silhoutte-- ball gown/traditional vs. A-line/modern. 3. When its your turn, you get a decent size dressing room, and an attendent to help you. You could take anyone in the room with you (women), logically because of the room size I think 2 people in there are perfect, 3 is pushing it. They clip you. 4. The sales people were pretty good. Although you picked out most of the dresses in the begining-- the sales girl was pretty good at bringing me things I wanted once I was in there-- e.g. I like this dress and not the beading. Also, don't be afraid to tell her that you like what someone else is trying on, they'll bring it to you!
Overall, it was a pretty good experience, a bit overwhelming at first-- but gives you a good idea of what you want/don't want! Another con is that its almost like the 'Marshalls' of wedding dress stores so be prepared to spend some time there, be frustrated at times, but if your one of the lucky ones (which wasn't me), you'll find your dress at a great price! Good Luck and I hope this helps!!!

Re: Another RK Bridal Question
both times i went - to look at dresses and to try mine on when it came in - were during the week, right when they opened. so it was nice and quiet, i didnt have to wait, and i wasnt rushed. from what i understand, it IS a bit rushed and crazed on the weekends, but try to get there when they open to avoid a long wait.
what i liked most about RK as opposed to other bridal salons was that i could go through all the dresses myself and pick which ones i want to try on. i felt at other bridal salons that they werent pulling everything i might be interested in, and how would i know if there was something there that i might love if they dont pull it but wont let me? so i knew that i saw everything that was there - i literally looked at every dress on every rack.

Re: Another RK Bridal Question
I have no choice but to go on a weekend, but I can get there as soon as it opens. I live in the city, so I just have to make sure my BMs wake up early enough to join me!
What's everyone's experiences with Sat or Sun mornings?
