another rsvp question (gift related & this time NO drama)
if you received an rsvp that says NO and it came with a generous check - when do are you supposed to send the thank you note?
at first we were planning on holding off depositing the check until after the wedding but now we're having second thoughts and thinking of depositing it right away (heck. we could use that $ already) is it okay if we deposit it even if we're not technically married yet?

I'm going to deposit, send a general thank you card and let them know after we get the thank you's with the pics we will send them that as well.

we are telling them thank you upon receipt, so they know it was received, and sending the thank yous after the wedding, with the rest.

If I sent someone a check and they took over a month to deposit it I would be annoyed. I think people expect you to deposit it right away.
I think it is ok if you deposit it as long as you send them a thank you right awat and then if you get photo cards from your photog or wherever send them another one then.

I'd send a thank you now and then if you're doing a picture thank you send that to them as well later on. deposit the check now. if you wait they might forget and use the money and the check will bounce.

We deposited as soon as we received it. Then called the person to thank them.
When I mailed out the formal TY cards, I sent them one as well.

Definitely deposit it as soon as you receive it because they will be waiting for that to clear their account. I always find it annoying when people don't cash checks right away. And send a thank you too!
