Another shower question...

Another shower question...

Are you inviting all females on your guest list? I do not want to- I don't think a lot of them would want to come!
What are your guidelines who to invite?

Re: Another shower question...

I am not inviting ALL females from my wedding list or my shower would have like 150 people!!! I am inviting my friends, some of FH's friends significant others (that we hang out with together) and then my mom and his mom are splitting up the rest of the list to include close friends and family.

I invited my close friends and family and my mom and my FMIL put down their close friends & FMIL's family.

You really should invite every female that is on your guest list. There are exceptions to that. I did not invite any of my husbands workmates wives/GF. My husband knows the guys and I did not know the wives.

What I did was give my BP a list of woman that I wanted at my shower. People that I wanted to share my day with. I hope that helps!

I have been invited to showers that made me say 'why did they invite me?'
I was a guest at the wedding, but I barely knew the bride. I think it was silly to invite me.

I don't believe in inviting EVERY female on the list. I believe a shower is supposed to be close friends and family. My friend was invited to a shower because her DH was friends with the groom - her instant reaction 'are they begging for gifts?'
Not necessarily the case but thats how some people look at it. JMO.

No, only family, close family friends and my friends were invited. That would be too much, however if you're having a small wedding and/or the host can afford to invite all of them, you can. It's all up to you and whomever is hosting your shower.
