another shower question for those who helped plan their own

if you had a hand in your own or planned the whole thing...did you still act surprised? did you show up after everyone was there or where you already at the venue?

the whole idea of me planning me own was so that i didnt have to act surprised when i really wasnt (i mean how many brides are truely surprised at their own shower and dont have to fake the cheesy 'oh my god' face)

i plan on getting there with mom and bm's before anyone else comes

I didn't act surprised because everyone knew it wasn't a surprise. All the games that we played were a surprise but the place and time were not.

If you helped plan your shower, then I say you should be there to greet your guests. Same idea if you did not plan it, but it is not a surprise.

I think it's pretty hard to surprise a bride...she knows it's getting close to her wedding; she knows she hasn't had a shower...you don't have to be a genius to put 1 and 1 together!

I acted surprised which was very demented and sad , but I was (and still am ) afraid of my MOH because she worked so hard on trying to surprise me , I didn't want to disappoint her.
