Another silly TTC question

Another silly TTC question

Ok, for those of you who have always had irregular periods how do you know when to take a pregnancy test?

Do you just say, well I had PMS symptoms and I feel like I am getting it but AF doesn't show. Is it at that point or a few days after a no show you take the test?

No, I'm not pregnant or TTC (yet) but have always wondered about this. I am on the pill to regulate my period and also have PCOS so this is just one area where I'm a bit confused.

Sorry if I'm not making sense - let me know if I'm not and I'll try to clarify - thanks ladies

Fellow PCOS cycster here. If you have PCOS, your best bet in getting preggo will be to go on Glucophage/Metformin and come off the pill. They find the Glucophage helps with ovulation and keeping PCOS'ers regular. I would see a Reproductive Endocrinologist and see what they reccomend for you, but this seems to be the path being taken now with us PCOS ladies.

Good Luck

I wasn't having regular cycles, in fact, at one point, I wasn't getting my AF at all (no ovulation). But I was trying to get PG, so I was taking a HPT every few days when I thought my cycle had ended. After a while I stopped testing at home and found out I was PG on a routine visit to the docs office. I should have just kept testing until I got AF!!!!

PCOS is poly-cystic ovarian syndrome

Girls am I correct? That is what I recall from reading the boards.
