Another stamp question.. need advice..

Another stamp question.. need advice..

My invitations are EXACTLY 2 ounces (60 cents).. should I get the 60 cent stamp? or should I get a one for more money? I dont know how it works, but I have this fear of them getting bounced back..

I would get the 60 cents one, and right before you mail them, double check with the PO.
Have them hand canceled at the same time.
Hicksville PO was great for this

Did you weigh a few and average the weight? I don't know, personally, I would go for the higher postage, just in case. I think it's worth it in the end, if some did bounce back to you, you'd need new envelopes and more stamps (unless you want to send the ones that say 'insufficient postage', which I wouldn't do), so it would end up costing the same, if not more. Plus, the extra postage would just give you peace of mind, which IMO is worth it.

somedaybride, that's what I was planning on doing.. After all I've done with these invitations, that's the LAST thing I want to happen lol

sooo, I never planned on using those gross love stamps.. I only used them for the inner envelope...

Should I get a 70 cent stamp? or the 83 cent one?

Mine were exactly 60 cents also. I double checked with the post office to be sure and it was fine (none came back thank goodness).

You should also see if they will hand cancel them so they don't mark them up with the bar code. They were delivered to my guests totally clear! I didn't even ask them to do this for me but to my surprise, they did it anyway (the Rockville Centre Post Office). I was so happy!!!

I think .70 would be more than enough, but is the .83 cent stamp better looking? I mean, I don't really think the stamp matters that much, as long as you use one stamp (I don't like the look of lots of stamps on an envelope), but if the .70 stamp is really ugly, and the .83 is better looking, then go for that one. I mean, after all of the money we're spending, what's a few dollars?

I think 70 would be OK...you really don't want to have any sent back to you, that's a real pain in the a$$!

I am DEF getting them hand cancelled.. no question about that.. It's the postage that I'm stumped on..

so you think that 70 will be more than enough>

look at the 83 cent one.

LMAO!!

The one you posted is the one I'm thinking about using..

Just wanted to add, I have nothing against the special olympics, I just think the stamp is ugly, but I also think the .60 love stamp is ugly.
