Another thing done...

Another thing done...

Ok so we did it another box checked off... though does this box get an official 'im finish check'? we did our registry today. This had to be so hard.. we already live together and we go so much from our parents and friends at engagment party. To top it off i was shocked at the prices at fortunoff. I am thinking we may register for somethings at bed bath and beyond. Should i keep it to one registry? i just feel guilty asking for such expensive things especially when i know they can find it cheaper else where. Open to suggestions.. i dont like to be a greedy bride and barely had enough on my registry.

Not sure what the etiquette is but I don't see the harm at registering at two places...could be wrong.

I had three store registries and a honeymoon registry. The Bed, Bath and Beyond one was the last one I decided to do, and it was my most successful one! Plus, you can register for LOTS of stuff, even duplicates of what you already have, and return stuff bought off your registry for CASH!!

I would register at BBB, especially since you can use coupons there for an additional 20% off.

I think that you should defiantely add at least a few things at BB&B...I think your guests will be happy to have variety (in price and place) and since I'm pretty sure 2 registries is kind of the norm no one will think you are being greedy at all....and congrats BTW on finishing the big one

Would definitly register at two places. First it gives you family and friend a choice. There are alot of BBB around, but on the island there is only one fortunoffs so for some people it might be hard to get to fortunoffs and for others not. I registered at Fortunoffs and BBB. just to keep the choice option open.

I would defiently register at BBB also.

We're registered at 3 stores: Bloomingdales, BBB and Fortunoff.

BBB has definitely been our most successful registry so far, that seems to be where everyone bought stuff! Only a few people used the other 2 at our e-party.

We just started our registry last weekend. We have 2... Bed Bath and Beyond and Fortunoff. FMIL is trying to get me to do a registry at Macy's too. But I had a hard enough time figuring out how to split everything between the 2 stores. I think 2 is good enough because it gives people an option and a wide variety of price ranges.

Personally, I thought the 'help' at Fortunoff's were so nasty and condescending. I would NEVER register there. They were totally rude when we went engagment ring shopping there and we had the same treatment when we went to register. I don't know where they get off acting like that. The store is inconvenient and why pay $150 for my place setting there when you can get a sale at Macy's or a coupon for BBB. Can you tell I did not have good experiences at Fortunoff? LOL...anyway, enough of my rant, go to someplace else.

I'm registered at Macys for some stuff, Fortunoff for others and BB&B for most of my kitchen stuff. Macys and Fortunoff have a lot of the same things, but they compete with prices. It is quite common for people to have multiple registries now - also gives people an option of where they would like to shop!

I would register everywhere that you want to!
It was tough for us to register too b/c we have lived together forever and have everything we need
