another tip question

another tip question

so im reading the tip threads and questions and am just confused on one aspect.

hair and makeup: The people im using own their own bussiness. They are making total profit from working on all 9 of my bms, myself, and my cousin. Thats 11 people... How much should I be tipping.

I have heard two different things... i have heard 15-20% and I have heard a flat amount like 25, 50, 100....

what is everyone's take on this?

I tip 20% no matter what. They are providing me a service and they deserve the $$.

And it's not 'pure' profit. They still have fixed overhead costs, have to pay for supplies, etc.

Do whatever you think is right. I tipped my last hair trial $25 and it only cost me $45. she came to my house and her only supplies were hairspray and pins. I probably didn't have to considering had I gone through her salon it would have been less profitable but I was really happy with it and I want to make sure she does a good job the day of, plus it's so much less than what I was originally paying!
