I am already married so I am asking for a friend. Her Maitre'D told her that if she feeds her band she doesn't have to tip them. Is that true? She has a 12 person band so that is a lot of meals and a lot of tips. what do you think?

I'm sorry but I don't agree. I think that a small tip per person is still appropriate.
my band told me if we feed them.......they rather have that than cash?!!? i was shocked to hear that....but i still may give them each something extra!
