Another tipping question..

My package includes 18% gratuity for the wait staff and valet, coat check...do we still tip them an extra 2% to equal 20%? I dont know how this works and when we were doing our budegt last night, all of our tips are equalling almost an extra 3000. Is this possible? Ithink I may be very wrong about how much to tip. Can anyone help me?

I thought I tipped everyone 20% too. You don't. You can tip the waitstaff extra, I'd make sure that the service charge includes gratuity some don't.

I learned that for a DJ or band $50 is typical to tip, same for photographer. $10-25 for floral delivery people.

For someone who is an especially big tipper, this is tough-I can't think of giving a photographer or dj $50 for 8 hours, so I'll up it to $100, but that's still only 3% of our bill. But, that's double what's normal.

Thankyou so much!! That was very helpfull...my package definately covers 18 % gratuity..Im sure of that..I dont think I have a bridal assistant..Im not even sure of what that is..so I must not have one..ok..Ill tip the photographer and videographer 100..how about musicians..anyone know? 50 a person? THANKYOU for your very helpful response...someone had told me 20% of the bill for photography..taht seems crazy to me because taht woudl be like an additional 500 bucks..Im glad that you cleared that up.
