For those whose FI's are wearing vests..what color are they getting?
My dress is ivory and my girl's dresses are bordeaux. My FI was originally think getting silver/gray for the guys and white for him. I think white wouldn't look right next to my ivory dress. But at the same time I understand he wants to stand out from the other groomsmen.
What are you guys doing?

I think he should wear ivory... and maybe have the guys wear black vests..

Bride02-if he wears an ivory vest .. do you think it would look ok with a white shirt? or is that something else to think about?

when me and my husband were going to get married the first time (long story) i bought an ivory gown, with cafe color trim.. he was wearing ivory shirt and ivory vest, to be honest i wasnt really haveing anything white. the table linens were ivory the candles everything but the cake... some one told me that my dress would look dirty next to white so i became a fanatic.. i would have him wear ivory shirt too... i had bordeux colored BM dresses too and i was going to carry charlotte roses (very deep red) and the girls cream roses, and the MOH Charlotte and ivory colored roses and the Best Man fire and ice rose boutineer (which is cream colored rose with deep red tip...just something to think about.

My FI is wearing silver and the groomsmen are wearing a silvery blue. I really didn't want my FI to wear a white vest b/c I didn't think that there was enough contrast in color. I liked the way the silver looked better. Although, my FI went to the tuxedo place today ALONE. I can't imagine what he decided without me.

We have crandberry dresses...and I have a whit dress. My man is wearing white shirt and white vest, and the guys are wearing white shirt black vest.....I do like the silver look too.

My dress is ivory and my FI and the groomsmen are wearing platinum vests. My FI will be different by wearing a platinum tie, the GM will wear black, and he got one of those longer jackets, and the GM have regular jackets.

FH and GM are all wearing a light grey vest with a black, grey and white tie (ie morning suit type)
FH will have a different collar...and a different colored bout...

My dress is mainly white with some Platinum trim on the top and the bottom, so my FI is wearing a Platinum vest and bow tie. My BM's are wearing a Vicotrian Lilac color, so my groomsmen are wearing a darker purple color.

I had an ivory dress - my husband wore an ivory vest (not solid ivory), ivory tie and white shirt - it looked great (and didn't make my dress look dirty as they claimed it would)!
My BM's were in claret and the GM's wore black vests (of the same pattern) & solid black ties. I'm not a big fan of matching the GM vests to the BM dresses - too prom-like for me.
groom and best man below: Its hard to see in the picture but there's a diamond pattern in each vest - they're the After Six Enchantment Vests.
