ok to buy wine bottles now if my wedding is not til december? we are going to TraderJoes this wknd .. and i wanted to get it out of the way
also, i was planning on putting the bottles in organza bags w/a personalized tag...but i'm not changing the label
is it tacky? i dont want to spend more than $5 per bottle

Make sure that wherever you store the wine will be a cool environment and not in the sun at all.
I think your bags and tags are fine! Personalized labels are cute but not necessary.

ITA... I'm doing the same thing. I don't want to do labels just because I know I don't like getting wine with personalized labels. I want to know where the wine is from, what it is etc.

but seriously hold off on the wine. get it ast minute.
if i were u, id go to trader joes (rt 17 right lol)
they always have tastings.. go do tat and just buy a few..and see which ones u like..
then order closer to your date

umm i would order close to your date i was going to go with the trader joes route but parent's know this friend that works in a vineyard in ct so we will be ordering ours with them...not doing personalized stickers but im doing favor tags

i think youre fine if you order them now but i'd maybe wait a little bit longer till you get closer... maybe you can order the tags and organza bags for now to have those ready

go closer to your wedding. My BP got me 2 cases of wine and a wine frig for my shower and when I opened probably half the bottles they were bad....moldy corks, wine was bad....i had them in my house (stored properly) for no more than 2 months when this happened. I emailed them and they basically told me 'tough'.
Honestly I would spend another dollar or two and get better wine after my experience.....I wouldnt buy that wine at all...

It depends on the wine and if you have some place to store it. I would ask wherever you buy it from... I was at a vineyard and they told me if I was going with this one particular white not to buy it until the end of summer...
