Antigua

Antigua

Ok- my honeymoon was booked for antigua, but with flight cancellations I have a chance to change it to aruba. I don't know if I should keep it as Antigua (not crazy about what happened recently) or change it to Aruba...what do you girls think?

I've been to Antigua...I've been to Aruba...we LOVED Aruba...not too impressed with Antigua. If you can switch...with all that is in the news lately... i'd switch... you'll LOVE aruba!

If your reason for changing is the crime factor...umm, Aruba isn't much different - it may even be worse.

If there are other factors, I haven;t been to either place but I've heard much more positive things about Aruba. It doesn't seem that Antigua has much to offer other than beaches. But again I've only heard these things, never been to either.

Occidental in Aruba or
Riu Palace in Aruba...

has anyone been to these two places?

Aruba is AMAZING and one of the safest islands around. Definetly make the change

I've been to both and like Aruba so much more. Plus Aruba isn't in the hurricane belt.

I say change it to ARUBA because we are getting married the same day and might see each other there . j/k. I wanted to go to Antigua at first, but changed to ARUBA because I was afraid of hurricanes

Aruba is absolutely amazing!!!! FH and I have been there twice (and that is where he proposed so I am definitely partial to it

I say change to Aruba!!!

Its sad to say, but what happened at that resort can happen anywhere. I wouldnt change my HM over it.

One of the guys I train said the weather is always perfect in Aruba!

Antigua's recent events were horrible, but is Aruba much better after the whole Natalie Holloway case? Tragedy can strike anywhere, so I don't think you should base your HM choice off of it.
