You will be great! Just look at your FH down the isle and remember the walk is only a few minutes... I've known some people to take a 1/2 xanax or other anxiety meds if they know themselves to be overly anxious.... HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

don't experiment with xanax unless you've taken it before. You'll be fine

I am very much feaking out about this too.........

I put so much time into planning and making everything look so perfect...........but I never really thought or think about myself in any of this. (don't know if I I can get this to sound right) But I don't picture myself in any of the situations and I really feak out everytime I do..........

I don't know what to do either............I hate being the center of attention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: anxiety

I've been surprisingly calm up to this point. But I think it helps that I've been so busy trying to finalize everything that I havent had time to be nervous. I think once all my friends and family start to arrive from OOT then Im really gonna start to feel the anxiety.
I would definitely see your doctor if youre having really bad anxiety. They can give you a very mild dose that will just take the edge off. But you have to be careful if you plan to drink that night and take xanax cause they dont mix all that well.....lets just say you wont be feeling anymore anxiety, thats for sure! Dont stress too much. Im sure its gonna be the greatest day of your life! You have nothing to worry about.

Take a deep breath... you will be great! Maybe just a glass of champagne that day or right now Just to take the edge off. I would consider going to the DR. but I wouldn't want to mess with med's at this point. I hope everything calms down for you

Re: anxiety

dont take xanax before walking down the aisle... ESPECIALLY if you're going to be drinking later... it is like a MIND ERASER...

I wasnt nervous about walking down the aisle, but I got REALLY anxious when we were waiting to go into the church... I started to cry when the music started for me to walk down the aisle and I felt overwhelmed... (Im a mush.. it was just so beautiful I couldnt help but feel tears) but THE INSTANT I saw DH... and that HUGE smile on his face, I just felt amazing. and CALM

I had a glass of champagne to calm my nerves. Not enough to get my giggly... but it helped.

if you dont take xanax, it could hit you hard and you dont want that.

Re: anxiety

I was totally fine until 6:30 am the morning of my wedding. I woke up with a rapid heart beat and being sick to my stomach I started crying and freaking out. I went to my parents room and laid in bed with my mom and she calmed me down. I was so scared. But after a 1/2 hr or so and having a 1/4 of a bagel I was fine! No medication needed.

If you haven't taken xanax or similar before I wouldn't do it now, especially on the day of your wedding. I took 1/2 of one on the flight for our honeymoon and I passed out sleeping. I NEVER sleep on planes. I hated it. Wouldn't want that to happen to you!

I felt that way... but you REALLY do forget all about the attention as the day goes along... b/c you just feel SO BEAUTIFUL and you are so happy. It was amazing b/c anytime someone arrived at the reception and greeted me they were just blown away at how i looked.. i really did feel like a princess and the nerves just DISAPPEARED.

Re: anxiety

vomit queen here!
I had rediiiiculous anxiety in 2001 and was throwing up every single night from it for seriously a month straight. I finally went to the dr and went on zoloft. i went OFF the zoloft after a year or so and I was OK..... UNTIL wedding planning!

the night before the wedding i definatley thought i was going to freak. i just kept doing stuff around the house, my entire room was spotless and i eventually wore myself out and went to sleep.

So then i woke up and was like omg i can NOT make it through the day. But things are just so insane, and the time FLIES... you will not have the TIME to have an anxiety attack! i thought i was going to but i ended up being OK.

trust me, you'll be FINE. but if you're that freaked out and if it makes u feel better- call your doc and ask for a tranquilizer, BUT make sure it wont knock you on your @ss!!!!!

Good luck, you'll be FINE and it'll be a distant memory soon! Enjoy it! The little things that you've worked hard on simply wont matter, believe me!

Re: anxiety

You will be fine. It's natural to feel anxious and a little nervous. It's funny because DH was more so than me--they had me come out a little sooner because of that.

Take a swig of champagne and deep breathes. Focus on your FH and smile. Once you see him, it'll all be okay.
