Re: anxiety
yoga, massage, mani/pedi, red wine....
I don't recommend meds unless it's preventing you from living life.

Re: anxiety
Same here... I've been having some major freak outs lately. I know therapy is a great help, and it's never a bad thing to ask for help or someone objective to speak with, whether it's just wedding related or not. Maybe there is someone that specializes in stress management, and ditto the yoga and/or a glass of wine to calm your nerves. I'm personally not a fan of meds, just because they can have side effects, but I'm all for them if they are medically necessary. I hope everything gets better for you!!

Re: anxiety
Please go to your doctor. If you are seriously uncomfortable and not feeling well, you should not treat yourself. There are all kinds of treatments for anxiety, not all of them drugs and the newer drugs are not addictive.

This. The SSRIs are not addictive. I don't think any doctor in their right mind would put a functioning girl in her 20s on an addictive drug like Xanax on a regular basis.

Re: anxiety
I have been dealing with anxiety issues since my son was born almost 2 years ago. It is horrible at times, I totally know what you are feeling.. I know some people are anti drugs, but that is really what works for me. Most anti-depressants today help anxiety as well. Def. talk to your doctor.

Re: anxiety
If a bubble bath and a few glasses of wine does not help I would say talk to your primary care dr about it. It is always good to start w a therapist and work from there. We have a lot of life changes going on and some anxiety is normal, it depends on if it is over taking your life and impacting your daily routines.
I would not count medication out, but if your able to take care of it w/o medication I would opt for that. Not all medication is habit forming and some people do need it, but it would depend on your history, family history of mental illness etc.
If your need the name of someone close to you and I can give your referrals or you can call the # on the back of ur insurance card.

Re: anxiety
No coffee, more sleep, and maybe some spiritual reading.- All easy non costly effective options to cut it down. There's always acupuncture, massages, or medication.
