I just got engaged and were getting married in August! I feel so behind. All I have is a lot of ideas, my dress is in and I put a deposit down on a hall.... Am I really behind??? :(

If it makes you feel any better, consider this: I am getting married in less than 6 months and I have done exactly the same thing as you! Oh and Bythe way I have been engaged for over 16 months..So what's my excuse?
But don't worry cause we will be alright! I hope..

I'm really behind as well. I only have church, hall and band booked. I have yet to go shopping for my gown. I'm going to try and book the florist this month. ETA: I have my photo/video booked too.

Congratulations!! Don't worry you should be fine. My reception is also at Jericho Terrace.. the day before yours! and 8/21 is my birthday but I did not book 8/21 because my church does not offer a full mass service on Sundays and I really wanted that...
anyhow, just start checking the vendors people recommend on this site...you have a lot to do but don't worry, it will get done. Best Wishes!! By the way, I think Jericho Terrace is having a showcase on 1/26

Marc rai.. I am seriously trying...I do have the BM dresses narrowed down to two. I have had many appts. with Florists and photographers but I have yet to decide on one. But by the end of this week it should be done....Hopefully..

Don't feel bad - I got engaged in November and I am getting married in May. The first thing I did was book my reception place and get my dress. I am almost done with everything now, but I did do everything fast. In fact, the last thing I did, was book my place for the ceremony. It was too late to have it at my church (my Catholic Church needs six months), so I had to find another place. I just booked the Historic Chapel yesterday! What a relief. Don't worry or get overwhelmed - everything will fall into place.

you'll get it done..there isn't enough time in the day to do it so early so just take a breath..if you need a photographer you should check out BTC photography and we went with in the mix for DJ..i still need limos, video, and invitations so i'm just as behind as you..we can all be behind together

I am right there with you too! I have my reception hall, and thats it, But I am going to look for a dress tomorrow! Whoo-Hooo! I am so excited I can't wait!!

I got engaged in Nov and am getting married Nov 05 -so far I have the church and reception hall done and that is it-i went looking for my dress for the first time today and fell in love with this dress but haven't put a deposit down yet-i want to go looking again next sat with my MOH this time for a second opinion (even though my and my mom keep comparting every dress to this)
I'm stressing too though-everyone I talk to is like you didn't get a dress? you didn't get a DJ? you didn't get this etc-i break out everytime I think about it!

Yup, we're all in this together. I'm getting married in four months and am in need of too many things to list. This site is great for ideas, start going out and meeting with vendors and book the ones that you like, it's that simple. I'm also a JT bride and I understand they have a free in house planner (never could get a hold of her, but I hear she's great) give Gina a call and take it one thing at a time.
