I think it's because of the three 7's. It's supposed to be the luckiest day of the year. Generally people think 7's are lucky.

thats a really cool idea!! we didnt even think of that! our e party is 7-14 !

i am an 8-8-08 - i picked it before i even knew about the whole 7-7-7 thing!!!! my gramma passed away this past summer and she always said everything happens on the 5 and the 8 so when i saw 8-8-08 - also my dad's birthday i went for it! the 5 is there too because my ceremony is at 5:30 and we got an extra hour at the reception -5 hours- i am worried about it though- hope its not too long - its supposedly 'free' but now all the dj quotes we are getting is charging us and extra 350 for it..

wish i could find other JT 888 brides!! who are my neighbors!!?? I am in oak room!!

Mine is 8/8/08! And it's not just because of the three 8's thing, my fiance and I had our first date on 4/4/04... yup, yesterday was our 3 year anniversary ... And I thought it would be perfect to be married on 8/8/08 for that reason!

I am an 8-8-08, didn't actually think of the hype around the date. We picked because it will be a decade celebration! Our ten year anniversary
