Any 10-1-10 brides nervous about this? Others welcome to answer.....
So, there seems to be a pattern with some of my vendors confusing our date to be 10-10-10. This happened at a limo appointment and now I found out with my DJ too. The DJ one could've been worse but luckily my sister works for them. The owner told her how he has turned down a lot of parties for my date and that it's so popular, 10-10-10. She's like nooooo its the 1st. He says really I have the 10th written down, check with her and get back to me, as if my sister doesn't know my correct wedding date. Nooo on my contract it clearly has 10-1-10 and he had booked another party for that night but changed it around so that he is still dj-ing our wedding. This is totally freaking me out a little bc when we arrived at a limo appointment the guy did the same thing oh popular date not sure if I'm still available then we explained it's the 1st not the 10th. I hope our vendors are carefully checking my date when they book others. I'm going to confirm all of them again and make sure they have the 1st down and explain why I'm double checking.
Anyone else have to deal with this at all?

thats crazy, from now on i would say 'the first of october'
and maybe spell out october on future contracts now, so its not easily written as 10-10. thats crazy!

i mess up my own dates sometimes. ex: i kept telling a makeup artist my epix were july 30th and theyre really june30.
just make sure you double check all contracts and everything that has been written.

ahh thats scary!
i would def continue confirming dates every so often from now till your wedding just to be safe!

Ya both good points, like I really need another thing to worry about, ya know? Especially something as big as that could be lol ugh!

that sounds very scary and nerve wrecking! I dont have ur date, but from past experiences with a date/time/place confusion when setting up vendor appt's, I learned to call several times to make sure that everything is correct. I call 2 days before, then the day of, each time confirming time and date and the address. Definitely call all of ur vendors and make sure they have the right date.

haven't had any date confusion problems with vendors. however my sister kept telling people the wrong date. i found out after i sent out STD's & some friends said i printed to wrong date, meanwhile it was my sister who gave them to wrong date. grrrr
maybe you should say & write October 1st, 2010, instead of 10-1-10.

i think you will be fine if you just call and confirm. I must admit when I first saw it written this way (10-1-10) I mistook it for 10-10-10 so I think if you write October 1, 2010 you should be fine.

I'm just kind of mad at myself now because we've booked all our major vendors at this point and I'm pretty sure on just about all of our contracts I wrote 10-1-2010 (I think not 10-1-10 not sure) not thinking anything of it ughhh. I think when I call to confirm I may even ask if they can right out the October so it doesn't get confusing. I don't know we'll see, going to be doing a lot of confirming for the next 16 months lol.

Ahhh that is so scary!! I would call up all my vendors to confirm just to feel better.

HI date twin.. actually my own family and friends are the ones who are screwin up the date!!! lol. my aunt said to me at our engagement party.. I just love that ur doing 10/10/10..lol. i was like .. we are gettin married oct 1st. not the 10th. she slike are u sure?? ur mom told me the 10th.. Im like. why would my mom tell u the 10th. its the 1st.. lol.. so i guess its a little confusing.. but the 1st and the 10th are totally different!!! I always just say october 1st when i see a vendor rather then 10/01/10.. I think you shouls be safe doin it that way!!! :)

I am a date twin also - I haven't booked anything yet other than the venue, but when I email vendors requesting info or to set up an appt., quite a few wrote back that they are booked on 10-10-10 and I had to write back and day no, 10-1-10, October 1st...

I would just call the vendors to confirm, although you should have copies of the contracts with the correct date on them....

Its strange b/c I had trouble with a vendor with regarding dates too(a vendor we decided against partially because she got confused too much) --- she told us that she had May 23rd, the sunday of Memorial Day weekend 2010 open--we assumed she knew her correct dates...we booked it. It wasn't until a week later that we realized that Memorial Day was the following weekend (I don't like at a 2010 calendar all that often)---she moved us to May 30th but somehow blamed it on 'a late night she had before'....I learned that I need to enter any new dates into my BB immediately
