you wont have to do anything. when you appear - there will be like a DA (i think they are called) and will say - ok you were speeding which was 10 points and i can reduce it to tailgaiting which is 2 points if you plead guilty. (this is all hypethetical - i have no idea what points are what) and than you go before the judge and he gives you a fine, you walk to the window and pay it and than your out of there.

you will be fine. i barely said 5 words the whole time i was there. the longest part is waiting in lines. good luck.

Once i got a speeding ticket, amongst other tickets on the actual day of my birthday...3 tickets total, damn malvern police, the officer now i dont know if it was a mistake or what totally did not right on the ticket how fast i was going...so therefore there was no record and the ticket was thrown out completely

This (although not exactly, like said, but the situation in general) is EXACTLY what happens.

Just remember, the fine that you are to pay is a fine based on the ORIGINAL offence, the points (if any) are based on the REDUCED offence. There is a guideline for fines that the judge will refer to, included in that are local and state mandated fees. You will probably pay more in fines then expected, but in the long run it will most likely be less then what your insurance will increase times the 2-3 years that most insurance companies hold it against you! ! !

Good Luck ! ! ! !
