Any African-Am or Latina Brides whos your vendors?
Hey Ladies:I am hispanic and african-american and I'm trying to find a really good MUA (airbrush preferably) and hairstylist for my bridal party as well as myself. I found one and while I'm able to afford the fee I'm not so sure my bridal party will be able to afford it so I'm looking to see if there are more affordable vendors out there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

christina amador is amazing- the airbrush she does is just completely flawless!I can't recommend a hair stylist though- One of my bridesmaids is african american and decided to use her own hair stylist that morning and will meet us at the house to get her makeup done with us. My hair salon said they can definitely do her hair, but she didn't trust them! lol which is totally understandable. I'm the same way about my hair sometimes too. As long as the girls get their hair done, i don't care where they go! I'd rather them me comfortable that day

My Maid of Honor is African American and Stacy Doolan did an amazing job with her make up! (she also has an allergy to a bunch of make ups & Stacy took GREAT care of her)... She looked gorgeous!

Thanks so much my mom has never worn makeup and has every excuse in the book as to why she cannot wear makeup on my wedding date. LOL I will definitely reach out to Stacy since my mom has all sorts of allergies I never heard of (allegedly)

Where are you located? Nikki at Salon Epiphany in West Hempstead is good. She does relaxed and natural styles. I'm going this Saturday for a hair trial on my locs. Good luck!

Well since I'm getting married at Sand Castle it's pretty close to West Hempstead. I'm from Brooklyn and my bridesmaids are from staten island and brooklyn so I'm trying to find someplace near by. Will keep Epiphany in mind good luck w ur hair trial

I'm also wondering who to pick for my hair. I have very curly hispanic hair. My future mother in law insists that I can get my hair done at the spa at the reception hall but I tell her my hair is complicated!

I used MekYaj for Make up... She was great! She came to my house and did all the bm and mothers way before we had to leave. She was great in terms of fitting in. I can send you her number. I'm not sure what she charged because it was a surprise from my MOH. But I bet she was reasonable.

I'm late to this post but I am using Sabrina Gilbert. She did my make up for my epics and it came out fantastic. She also does hair as well.

Try Ellen from Face the day for makeup. I went through 9 MUA before settling on her. She is from Brooklyn, but travels. Her pricing is on her website. FM if you have any questions.Hairstylist-still undecided. My stylist does not travel and fiance does not want me to travel to the salon day of wedding.
