I have a mac and I LOVE it!!! I definately recomend it ... It is very user friendly and as far as word, excel and power point .. to me, the software runs the same as on a PC. Now with the wireless it has a card i the laptop already so that if your in an area with wireless connection it wil connect using airport.. if it's not your usuall area 'home' then it will ask you if you want to connect to it. Any other questions feel free to ask me HTH!

i have a macbook. and i LOVE it.. i have been a pc user for YEARS.. YEARS I TELL YA!! and i brought a macbook just recently and i think its the greatest.. i dont have the processing issues that i have with my pc laptop.. like when i try to open to many windows and log on to to many sites at the same time and it has to think bout it.. i have word, powerpoint and excel (wish i had publisher) and a bunch of other really cool pograms..

my only complaint.. is that the macbook gets hot.. like REALLY HOT.. way hotter than my pc laptop gets.. so i'mma take it into the apple store next week and ask them bout that.. cause it doesn't seem right that it should be getting that hot..

I really recommend the macbook. I have owned pc's in the past and they all have crashed and have had issues. The macs are just as easy to use as any other computer. Once u get it you will love it.

I am not a fan of macs just bc I use a PC at work and find it much easier.

I haven't had any problems with my macs though.

omg i LOVE my MACs!! sooo much easier to use than PCs. And all the microsoft office programs run the same way. like was said b4, the wireless card is internal, so all you need is to set up a wireless connection in your home (roadrunner or something like that) and pay the monthly fee for the internet service. Your computer will automatically pick up the wireless signal. Sometimes they pick up multiple wireless signals (like those of your neighbors). and if one of them isnt WEP protected, meaning it doesnt require a password, you can connect to the internet for free on that. Thats what i use at my new home with FH...saves $$ on internet service haha SHHHH.......

I have an apple ibook laptop and I LOVE it! I've had it over 4 years and have had no problems... it still runs as fast as the day I got it. DH has the iMac desktop... love it!

Once you go Mac you never go back... and we never will!!!!

MAC is great...and really easy to get use to. Windows and all the other programs are pretty similar to reg. laptops. As far as wireless connection to internet....I just got a router and hooked my reg computer, that way you don't have to pay for another internet service.
The things you can do with music and pictures is fantastic!!

haha this was my slogan for a while. I have an iMac and I LOVE IT!! Its making me hate PC's though. I find windows very slow and annoying, however I did load windows Vista into my mac using the program Parallels so I can run any window type programs that I couldnt use with my mac and it works awesome. Not sure if that made sense, but i say go for the Mac book.

You all need to help me---got a MAC book a few months ago and it has been very difficult for me to make the transition, we are going to get Parallels so I can run needed programs that there are not MAC versions of (e.g. most recent version of SPSS I need for dissertation research).
