I used Burke entertainment, i didnt have a cocktail hour so it was only 4 hours and i told him he didnt have to wear a tux, just a suit..he was FABULOUS and they only charged me 350.00..Of course i booked him last minute and explained i needed a good deal...

I am meeting with QT Productions and In the Mood this weekend. I am also looking into Top Hat. All of them are under 1k. I'll keep you posted.

I posted this last summer from a friend's wedding...I hope it helps....


The DJ was $600-700...GK the DJ 631-981-3541...He does our work parties and has always been good. He works alone, and did not interupt too much. Played one dancing game, which in the end turned out to be cute, but a little too long...He had hula-hoops to give out, which everyone seemed to enjoy, especially the kids. But he didn't seem to play any current music...But she may have requested that...but I'm not sure that she cared...She was always dancing and there were always people on the dancefloor. He even played my Fi's uncle's song. One thing you might want to consider is ethnic music...He started to play some Irish music and everyone on her side of the family got up and started to jig, but they it died out by the second song and most of the people were off the floor when he played the third one. I would break it up. Her Husbands side was from Uruguay and at the end they started to play some Latin music...I don't know how they felt about that so far at the end...but when it came on they all got up and started to dance.

$1000? HECK YA!!
Hypnotic Sounds...In home demo, light, smoke & bubble machines....you name it, they have it and have been around for 10 years.

Do these dj's play all music? Our families are from different backgrounds and we need a DJ that can cover the latest music (not too much b/c the latest isnt' the best) from old school latin, soca, calypso, freestyle, house, a little reggae, jazz, blues, on and on... No britney spears, no macarena-this may sound odd but my family hates this!

Im gonna call joey jam but what are the contact info for the others like top hat, burke etc. I really thought I was having a favor done for me asking someone to come under 1k, but are these guys good, guess Ill find out.
