I have pics saved on my computer, but can't post because they are in Word. Give me your email and I will send you the document. I'll try and see where I copied them from and post them here.

sunflowers are my absolute favorite, so cheery and bright and i love them and very different to use at a wedding. i plan on using these in my wedding heres how and feel free to steal any ideas you like: 1-I am getting white pew bows and I am placing a sunflower through each one, on every other pew. 2-I am having them incorporated into my centerpieces and bouquet, just don't know how yet! 3-My favors are Mikasa sunflower bowls that come with a candle inside. The bowl is not too big but a nice size. It can hold a candle, potpourri or be a candy dish after. I bought 110 of them (18 cases) wow! Can you tell i like sunflowers?

P.S.-Sunflowers are hard to get in certain months so ask your florist ahead. He mayhave to get them shipped in.

Re: Any bouquests w/ sunflowers and/or gerber daisies?
I can't post pictures, but we used sunflowers at our wedding. I love sunflowers, and insisted we use them, only my husband was set in having roses. We weren't too sure how sunflowers and roses would look together, so instead, we used roses in fall colors for the centerpieces on the guest tables. We had roses in coordinating colors for the girls to match their burgundy dresses (they were the 'Harmony Rose'). For the alter arrangements, which were placed on the floor in front of our table at the reception, it was a giant mix of sunflowers, roses, and I'm not even sure what else .. probably gerber daises were in them. On the place card table, we had a vase of only sunflowers. My bouquet was of black magic roses.
The sunflowers were gorgeous. I've always found them to be such a bright, happy flower .. and it really added sunshine to our rainy day. (It rained on our wedding day)! But like jennbaby said, check with the florist about the availability of sunflowers at the time of your wedding. Also, you might want to check the quality of the sunflowers from the florist you choose. I was a little worried about going with sunflowers for the wedding, because I've noticed many florists simply do not get good looking sunflowers, even in the good months. My best luck had always been at a little stand in Melville across from Newsday, on Ruland Road .. until the sunflowers we got the day of our wedding. They couldn't have been more spectacular!
Bobbi at Flowers by Brian came up with the wonderful ideas for getting sunflowers worked in for a nice compromise between my husband and me!
