How are you guys coping?

I tend to get alot of questions that I dont want to answer.... its going to be even more awkward the day of the wedding since both parents are not in my life.....

Im sorry...I dont have much to offer the conversation but wanted to give some hugs

Some things are harder than others... it is no one's business. I find people have no filter they just say things...

I try to focus on all the positives if I can... sounds clishe but it's true.

My mother isn't involved because she passed away. It's really hard at times because I wish she could be there with me. My mom was one of the few people that really understood me and we were really close. I always feel bad talking to my friends too much about my wedding but sometimes it's because I feel like I don't have anyone else.

That is EXACTLY how I feel. My mom would have talked to me about things until 3am every night if I wanted/needed to. No one should have that type of patience for me. lol

It is hard to be without her. I had to fill something out that asked for the # of MOB's and I welled up.

I know! THank God I have you! I think you are the only one I can talk to!!!!! And, you know I start feeling guilty talking to Gail about it sometimes and I think she gets sick of me.

Oh, I'm so glad you responded. I was worried I offended with that comment, but I feel for you girls!!!! My Dad died when he was 43, and could not walk me down the aisle. I know having a Mom is special when you're a Bride. I don't know why, but my Mom didn't go dress shopping with me. I went myself!!! I must have been clueless!!! Girls, I'm sorry!!!! I love you guys!!!! If I could I would be in NY, helping you all out. I'd love to adopt you all!!!!!! Mary MOB

that made me cry. I cannot imagine or begin to understand, i only see mine 2-3 times a year but at least i can talk to her. You can talk to me/ all of us as much as you want about wedding stuff!!
we are all here for you.

My mom is permanently disabled. She has MS and she can't walk. She's in a nursing home. So, in a way, I know how you feel. She didn't go dress shopping with me, she didn't go to any of my vendor appt's with me, she only knows what I tell her.

And I don't have a strong relationship with my father so sometimes I feel like I'm going at it alone as far as my family is concerned.

Hang in there. I know it's tough, but you must have supportive people in your life, as well as the supportive girls on this site.
