hey does anyone know a good place they can recommend to me that do good hair and good extensions?? that is another expense i have on my list, lol ahh!! i cut my hair this summer really short and i dont think its going to be long enough for my november 09 wedding and so if it isnt im going to have to get extensions for my hair to be long and full enough to be able to do a nice hair style that i want (the half up and half down style).. please let me know if anyone knows a good and afordable placeee they can recommend to me!! =]

Well if you do a search on here you'll see that most of us did clip on extensions for the day of. I only saw one bride on here who got the 2-3 month bonded extensions for wedding day.
I used clip on extensions for wedding day and loved them. IT was real hair so you have to make sure it is real hair or else it wont hold a curl. I have had real extensions twice before and it takes forever to blow dry so didnt want to deal with this on my HM.
If you do want the other type of extensions then its either sewn in or bonded in. If its bonded in then the cheapest place i found that did this was charging $800 most were charging more. Sewn in you can get for alot less, you can get it for about $200
but as someone who has had real extensions before in the past, i do recommend just doing the clip on extensions for day of. I didnt do extensions for length bc my hair was long, i did it only for volume

Have you tried calling or emailing the Jenn the hair genie. I purchased mine from her and they were great. They were real hair clip ons. They held up great, actually she put them on so well it was hard getting them out. After my first trial I left them in for three days and they held up.

ohh wow i didn't even think about clip on hair extentions for just the day of the wedding! now that you have mentioned it to me i am definately going to do that! i dont want to have to deal with the actual extentions for the honeymoon and i didnt even put to much thought into that till now... but now let me ask you something, i am doing this for both volume and length because i cut my hair and its pretty short and i have very thin hair.. so will these clip on extentions for the day of work for length also?? cause i want it pretty long!!

I've had extensions forever!! I just took them out not too long ago because I'm preggo and my hair is growing like crazy!
My girl is amazing and by far the cheapest around for the best quality hair and safe extensions. Its a system called hair locs. There is no glue, no bonding, and I promise absolutely no damage to your natural hair.
I swear by these extensions! The 'do' in my album is with them. I don't know how long you would plan on keeping them, but they are so easy to maintain. First time only takes about 2 hours (as opposed to 8 with glue) and then maintance takes about 45 minutes (every 8 weeks or so). You don't need to replace the hair every time either. So that eliminates a huge cost!
I've known girls (and my mom!) who had the glue and the glue turned white making it look like there were bugs in their hair.
I can't brag enough about these extensions! So worth it!

For length...the clip ins don't blend as well since you are limited in placement. I use them now for volume since I took out my extensions, but I don't think they look natural for length

I just thought of this....you can always do a test run on the clip ins and see if you like them for length. Sally's beauty supply has a package that includes 3 large peices and a few smaller ones for under 100 bucks. Its real hair and great for a test run!

try the jessica simpson hair do extensions. Get the real hair though, it looks alot more natural and you can style it however you want it. They are clip ins and look great. Alot of stores sell them and they are about $100 or so depending on what length you get. Good luck!!

ahh all of this is sooo overwhelming!!!!! lol soo many different opinions and ideas, hehe.. thank you girls for all your advice and help on this!! whatever salon i decide to go with for the wedding day due for me and my mother and BMs i will definately check out the clip on extentions with them as well, so we'll see how that goes!! again, thanks girls!! =]
