all the excitement of planning loses something over the phone and e-mail.... Feeling a little sad....

yep, my parents live in florida. at times i get upset that they arent here to help me....but whenever i see them we do wedding stuff and i always let them know what happens when i meet vendors....
but i totally know what you mean...

Thanks...poor Fh doesnt know what to do with me...was listening to father daughter songs, and started crying....at least i will see them this week...off to Fla...

My parents are outside the COUNTRY!!! I do miss them, and I am pretty bummed about my mom or my sisters not making to the shower But, my FMIL/FFIL are very supportive and so are my friends

They are in boynton beach...

my parents are in Ft Lauderdale...i think thats pretty close...
about 45 min, parents just moved from ft lauderdale to boynton about 2 weeks ago to be closer to my brother, who is also there..

I can completely relate. My dad lives here, but my mom lives in Fla. If i even mention that I didn't go to a trial or dress shopping or a showcase because all of my BMs were busy, she starts crying. Both her and my sister (MOH) live down in florida, my dad and brother live here. But (with the exception of the free food at the showcases) they're not really into wedding planning events!! I hate the fact that my mom isn't here with me, but she is always excited to hear the updates!

i've been through it. its hard. i had to shop for my dress before they came up for it. it wasn't the s ame. i wish they were here during the planning. the most important thing...they'll be here f or the special day

My parents live in Florida! I was actually crying to my FH about it the other day.. its sooo hard without my mom here helping...but she came a couple months ago to book my photographer and see my dress and makeup trial... I try to do everything when they come to visit.. so my mom doesnt feel left out. My FMIL is great though.. she has been a big help too!

Yeah mine are in Arizona, they get a lot of digital pics of everything.........
My whole family lives out of state except one brother. Fortunately for me I am close with my sister in law and she is also a MOH. It does stink in a way but at least by phone or email they can be a part of it. They can see what you are talking about. It's not so bad. It's better then them not having an interest at all!
