ANY chance that you can switch mortage brokers..(we have out own lawyer)...after you have a contract igned by both parties, gave the lawyer $$$ to hold but didnt apply for the bank loan?

I believe you can switch at any time but if you paid your mortgage broker anything already you would probably lose that. Nothing is binding you to the broker though.

I did and had no problems. Just make sure your atty knows before their's finds out.
