Re: Any comments
My wedding will be there on 5/25/03. We are thrilled with the place so far - and everyone I know has raved about it. Who are you dealing with. Some people find Kathy a bit pushy, but to me she is great. We are both similar in that I don't think I need my feet kissed and she doesn't pad her answers - if you know wat I mean
We tasted the food, and its awesome. The tent is great for a large crowd, and after the wedding, everyone can party on in Montego Bay or Cayote Grill. We might just stay in Bridgeview
What kind of info do you need?

I have a meeting with Kathy. What do you mean about her padding her answers? She's not accomodating? How did you get to taste the food? You said many people have raved about the place; however, I've never really heard of anyone on this board speak of them (that's why I was worried). A tent? How is it? Uh oh - I'm confused now...

Re: Any comments
OK - here is what I meant
About Kathy - we met a lot of vendors in our travels who give a long speach and go on and on. I don't like that - Kathy is very to the point , no B/S ( is that allowed here)
The tent The reception hall is actually a tent. It is a firm structure with 2 firm walls of glass. In the winter all 4 walls are fixed, but in the summer the 2 of the walls are replaced with those roll down see through walls. If its a nice enough day they will be open and a breeze will blow off the water.
The tasting We told KAthy we were v. interested and we really were, so she told us to come one saturday afternoon while they were getting ready for a function, and we tasted the food they were serving that night - chicken, chilean sea bas, and fillet mignon. we gave them the deposit when they took our plates away
I know the place wee because we live in Long Beach and hang out there all summer. I am not sure why its not so popular, I think they are just getting into the business of catering. For years they were just a club - remember Channel 80? That was them
If you have more Q - post them - I will watch the thread, and answer as best i can.

Re: Any comments
Adding that IMO kathy is very accomodating. Everything we have asked for so far we got the OK for - even sparkers!!
Thanks so much! What does the typical package include (besides food)? Anything you can't do? Anything they offer to do special?

It is very pretty! We were going to book there until we went to JAs and decided to go with them.
We saw Mike and he was a doll.
I know people that have been to weddings there and said it was good

I am not sure how to answer about the packages - basically its food and drink, and you can upgrade on a few things. The wine list is pretty good, and they said if there was a specific liqour we wanted they would get it
They haven't said No to us on anything yet
What do they do special - well the cocktail hour is in that awesome all wood bar with views of the water our ceremony is there too.
Not sure what else to say

Re: Any comments
Hi dubliner - I have some questions about Bridgeview. I was scheduled to go to their last tasting but never made it due to horrible weather. I have been relying on my memory of the place when I last boogied there like 8 years ago. My problem is that my wedding would not be big enough for the tented area. Did you get a chance to look at the other room? Is it nice? High or low ceilings? Would it be obvious to one party that there was another one going on? Can't you see the tent from the other room? Please help me with my memory?

Re: Any comments
hi future BYC brides! I'm having my ceremony and reception there in December ---
Since I'm planning this from 3,000 miles away, its reassuring to hear positive comments!
You can have sparklers? I wasn't sure if they even let you have candles on the tables (pillar kind)?
