The preist we had is now gone. Father Jim is sick so when we went last night we had a totally different person we met for only 5 minutes tell us he would be marrying us. It was just weird hearing the priest we met with about 4 times, isn't marrying us anymore.

I had something similar happen to me. We had met several times and then all of a sudden he decided to take a hiatus to the Dominican Republic.. It was actually a blessing in disguise, b/c the priest who married us was like the right hand man to the Pope, which I thought was soo cool and he performed such a beautiful ceremony..

Marcella..my new priest is very old and has trouble speaking. He came out of retirement to help out. Oh well, at least I'll be married.

Its ok, I just thought it was weird at first to change priests after getting to know one but I dont mind the new one. Thanks for responding
