Re: any dog owners?
I have lab/hound mix and a puggle. The lab is great. She is loyal and loves to play. She is about 50 pounds and has honey colored fur, we got her from North Shore. The puggle is really my sister's but I claim him as my own since I still live at home part time. He is wild, but he is still new so we will see.

Re: any dog owners?
We have a whippet. They are one of three breeds that are not supposed to bark. They dont shed too much, they dont eat too much and theyre not too big or too small. They do need exercise, though mine is happy sleeping in her blanket LOL Weve had some that are shy and others who are off the wall. I really think it depends somewhat on who raises them as a pup.

I have 2 cavapoos. Mix of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Poodle.
I love my dogs. They don't shed, they are hypoallergenic (I have very bad allergies!).
They are great with kids, they don't bit, they are good with training.

PUG!!!!! Best personality... GREAT with kids and doens't need to be walked a thousand miles (although the more for any dog, the better). LOVES to sleep in your lap and is just the best breed in the universe!!!!!!!

Re: any dog owners?
we have a shih tzu! LOVE HIM!
My BIL and his GF have a Bulldog, he drools a lot- very possessive of the GF- growls etc...BUT is a cute dog!
Puggle!!! FH and I adopted one when he was 2mos old. He's super affectionate and a total lap dog which is what we wanted. Sometimes he's too smart for his own good, but he was a blessing to train! His trainer loves him. The one thing is he has neverending energy until his 9pm bedtime. He's a lot to keep up with, but he's the best.

I have a cane corso/mastiff mix.
She is the biggest mush.. If you can deal with the snoring lol They are the best dogs.
She is about a year and a half and is 95 lbs...
I love cane corsos! They're the best!
I don't have a dog (yet), but volunteer at an animal shelter. If you're planning to add a dog to your family, please adopt from a shelter or go through breed rescue or a reputable breeder. DON'T go through a pet store...their puppies may have come from a puppy mill.
For more on breeds, what to expect, etc, check out American Kennel Club . Good luck!

My FSIL has one and he is 140 lbs. If you cannot handle strong dogs I suggest you look for another dog. Bully breeds are agressive and require extra attention and exercise. I have a beagle and a bull terrier. My bully is a mush. I recommend both!

i have a mini dacshund and he is the best i would def recomend!!!
We have 2 boxers, a male almost 2 years old and a 11 week old female. They are so much fun. They play great together and with other dogs. I would definetly recommend a boxer.
