Any Foodies? Todd English Rocks!!

Okay, this is a first restaurant rave for me but I had to share since girls post all the time for restaurant recommendations.

I took FH to Todd English's Restaurant Ca Va last night for his birthday and

HOLY HEAVEN. Not joking, one of the most memorable meals ever.

We had:

Bifteck Sliders: petit sirloin burgers, carmalized onions, tomato, lettuce, t.e sauce
Carpetbagger oysters: Crispy oysters wrapped in beef capaccio, truffle potato, aioli
Roasted Beet Salad: Petit greens, Humboldt fog goat cheese, walnut vinaigrette

Entrée:
Ca Va Steak Frites: Charred flat iron, pommes frites, herb-onion butter
Sweet Corn-Crab Ravioli – Melted leeks, bacon, peas
Additional Side: Truffle Mac & Cheese

Dessert:
Chocolate Tart with Marscapone Icecream

Yes, we ate all this! Everything was delicious but the oysters, truffle mac and sweet corn ravioli were unlike anything I’ve ever had before. My mouth is watering for that mac and cheese right now.

PERFECT restaurant for special occasions. The service was excellent and I will be back to try everything on the menu.

I took FH to Gordon Ramsey's restaurant for his last birthday and I think this blew that out of the water.

WICKED was AWESOME!!!! I was so hoping I wouldn't be disapointed since EVERYONE raves about it but it was soooo good. I'm in love.

The writing was fabulolus and it was very, very, well done.

Also, the place was PACKED and it was a wednesday!

soooo great!!!! I LOVED wicked, it was really amazing!!!!! I read the book before I saw the play and didn't know what to think bc the book was bizarre....

We ate EVERYTHING. And had wine and cappuchino too!

I wanted to try more stuff but FH would've thought I was crazy

omg Sweet Corn-Crab Ravioli? I must have this!

really? I want to pick up the book too! I was kind of glad I hadn't read it before watching the show since I always love the book more but glad you still loved the show.
