ANy girls like their job and work for a company who's hiring?
I work at a family buisiness and have been for 12 long years...I really don't like my job at all and working with my family has become unhealthy to say the least. I have been unhappy for like 4 years but stuck it out because I was getting my 2nd bachelor's....but I graduated in December and I still can't find a new job, and I've been looking the entire time I've been going for my 2nd bachelor's..
What's worse is that my family's buisiness is seasonal and I am unemployed for the winter months and unemployment doesn't even come close to paying the bills.
I have 2 bachelor's....one in graphic design, one in English...I wanted to work in something related to English like copywriting or editing, but there is not much out there and everyone wants years of experience. I wouldn't mind doing some graphic design work too if it got me the job--I thought the two degrees went well together and that it wouldn't be this hard to find a job!
So I'm willing to take a position that's not completely related to English...I know marketing and advertising firms look for English majors...I'd even be an assistant at this point...I just need a change!!! So do any of you girls like your job? Is your company hiring? If so please let me know...I have a ton of office skills and I am going insane already!!!!

Dang... I'm sorry about your job! I love my job and work for a digital marketing/website company. We don't need people now - just filled a position last week. Would you be willing to work in Manhattan? I know there are a lot of web related jobs in NYC.

I also suggest you putting up a LinkedIn profile. I know a lot of companies look for your profile when hiring.

Thanks...I dread waking up for work in the AM! (when I start full time again, that is)
But I would be willing to work in NYC...I wasn't at first but I need to be realistic here! The commute would be killer but hopefully I would be doing something I loved and could maybe telecommute some days?
Seriously I'm desperate!!

There are a lot of jobs out there for 'Online Content Editor' or 'Web Editor' Most of them don't require a lot of experience and I know the web industry has a lot of growth right now.

are you against working in the city?
A friend of mine is the HR manager for Merrill Corporation, and she's always posting job offers on her FB page, all of which have growth potential.
I can give you her email address if you'd like.
