Any girls thinking about a vineyard wedding?

Any girls thinking about a vineyard wedding?

I stopped at Raphael's when I was out east this past weekend http://www.raphaelwine.com/home.html

and the place is just absolutely beautiful. Stunning. I have seen pictures from weddings there and never realized the magnitude... let's just say I was impressed LOL.

Anyway, just thought I would let you girls know that I asked about the pricing and they said their season usually runs from June to Oct, with Oct being the most expensive month. The site fee runs about 8k to 10k (closer to 10k he hinted at) and its around $200 a head depending on the menu you choose. Of course he said their food was amazing, but it is the only vineyard that has its own kitchen and is completely set up for catering events. I saw another couple visiting Pelligrini and overheard them planning on who they were going to bring in for catering etc.

The price is extremely high but it is totally unique and beautiful definitly worth looking into.

We looked into Rapheal a few months ago before going with Wolffer, and it wasn't that expensive. The highest price pp was $135 (for a sit-down dinner and all alcohol) and they hold weddings at all times of the year. The site fee starts around $2-4k for off-peak months and is cheaper on Sundays.

I'm getting married there in May! :) We absolutely love the place. We just had our final tasting this past weekend, and the food was AMAZING. It's great that they have their own kitchen so that the food tastes really fresh.

Edited to say that when we booked them their prices weren't as high as the ones you mentioned. If anyone is interested in more details please FM me.

Maybride, good wedding day weekend! :)
yeah booking earlier defintly helped, Oheka's 2006 prices are a lot higher too. Plus being a May bride vs an Oct bride in the winery season definitly helps!

You picked the most decorated beautiful winery I have seen out there, great choice!!!

btw I also forgot to add that its one of the few wineries I think will still look amazing even if it rains.

Thanks, Bethsiar! We actually picked it mainly because we didn't want to worry about the rain, since the weather can be so unpredictable. Hopefully we'll have beautiful weather that weekend. :)

I've been to a wedding at Oheka and it was fantastic! What a gorgeous location!!!
