any good hair salon's in nassau??

hey girls, any suggestions?????
i just moved to nassau not too long ago, looking for a good salon that i can start looking for hair trials. and makeup at the same place.
any quotes ??? TIA

I used to go to Maximus all the time! They are great, but they could be a little on the expensive side. Another good place is Salone Gino in Westbury.

just be careful of the maximus in merrick ...

from personal experience, I wont go back there again. I had my hair and makeup done for my eparty and they were more concerned about what they were ordering for lunch that making sure it came out how i wanted the girl who did my makeup was nice, but it wasnt exactly what i was looking for and you couldnt even see it in pics. She didnt use any face makeup either which i thought was ODD for a $50 makeup application?

I couldn't agree more - I went there for an updo for my friends wedding - not only was the girl 30 minutes late - when she did my hair, she told me it was too oily to do anything with - not true, as per the manager (I was concerned myself - so i asked while waiting for her to get to the salon)- so she dumped baby powder in my hair and then proceeded to put it in a pony tail and put curls in and pin them - in the end - I looked like cr@p, felt like cr@p, paid WAY too much money and went home and took it out after the ceremony...
TO SUMMARIZE - DO NOT GO THERE!!!

OMG!!!!! are you kidding me!!! i will not go there, thank you girls for the warning. i actually live in levittown, so i was looking into either cactus, or nuance , which is down the road from me. i am sooooo confused on where to go

I second this one. I didn't use them for my wedding, but I go there to get my hair cut. Nice place & nice people.

Metro Modes in bellmore I see Anthony Cole.
Lisa did my make up trial and she did an amazing job pics in my album. Lisa was very reasonably priced.

Fox & Company in Floral Park.
Lisa is fantastic for updo's(you have to go to her), haircuts, and color!!!!!!
