Any good writers out there? Please help me with thank you wording....

FH and I are trying to put together a thank you page for our program that isn't too cheesy and over the top, so it sounds like it's actually from us.
We have a part for our family/friends, our bridal party, and we're having trouble with the part for our parents. all are appx this length. We orginally had:

to our parents:
this day would not have been possible without your unconditional love and never-ending support. you have given us extraordinary examples of how to live, love, forgive, forget and truly live happily ever after.

However, FH didn't like the last line because of the forgive/forget part. I think I agree. Do you like any of these alternatives for the last line? If not, please suggest something! thanks in advance

you have given us extraordinary examples of how to.....

live, love and truly live happily ever after? build a strong lasting relationship and truly live happily ever after?

Should we even keep the 'happily ever after' part? Any ideas?

we were thinking about getting rid of the forgive/forget part, but i think it flows a little funny so maybe i should substitute another word for live?

This day would not have been possible without your unconditional love and never-ending support. By simply being there, you have shown us that a relationship can last through both smiles and sorrow, laughter and tears, and of course love.
