Any Graphic Designers ???

Does anyone know of a good color laser printer? I am willing to spend up to approx $900. I have looked and looked. Each one I choose I check out some reviews and they are negative.

Please help.....

While most of my work is sent out to be professinally printed, my studio does have 2 Dell 3110CN laser printers that do a pretty nice job on all sorts of paper textures and weights..........

We've had them for over a year and have been very happy with teh performance.........

There ins't a printer on the market that will have all great reviews....everyone has a different opinion...it's so frustrating when trying to research !

I have the HP CP1518ni

When I first got it I had to download the most current driver to get it to calibrate correctly. Other than that it has done everything automatically for me in terms of aligning the colors and cleaning etc.

It also has a great paper tray that adjusts in both directions...it has been great for all the different sized paper I have printed on...as small as 3 inches and it still doesn't jam.

It prints great on cardstock, photo, etc. The only thing I couldn't get it to take was very thick fabric lined envelopes.

I've worked with a lot of laser printers. I'm very very picky about my colors.
I notice they aren't consistent with all colors.
Magenta prints really nicely, bold and shiny
but then when you mix it its duller.
Blues are the worst, they almost look a little more gray and a little like newsprint.

But again, I'm super picky, and maybe its just HP and Dell lasers cause thats all I've ever worked with.

For most stuff I would send to pro printers. I actually did my invited half in ink jet half in laser cause I was so annoyed at the way the laser messed up my spring green color.
