Any HR or OSHA/saftey reps here?

Any HR or OSHA/saftey reps here?

DH shop is over 100 degrees, and the owner still refuses to install a/c units, and the fans they have are obviously not working up to par. Does anyone know what the maximum temperature for an indoor shop (auto mechanic) is before it is a violation? I tried looking on their website, but it is very confusing & hard to navigate.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Is he union? The union would be who sets those parameters. My DH's limit I believe is 110 degrees.

There are no temperature guidelines in the state of New York for businesses, either for hot or cold.

When I displayed shock, I was told, 'Well, how do you set a temperature requirement for construction workers?'

The only requirement is that there must be running water accessible to the employees (and there aren't any requirements for hot water...just water)

go figure.

However, if your DH is unionized, it may be outlined in his CBA if there are any temperature requirements
