I agree with Eunified... cardstock! I plan to DIY tags for flip flop sizes and that is what I plan to use.

I also know Michaels has tags already so you won't have to punch a hole and tie a string. You could just put the label on there, or in my case I'm using them for my flip flops and I'm just going to write the size on it.

I was going to check out Michael's but i know Etsy sells them already premade with ribbon already for like $7 - you would probably spend more than that on supplies to make them
Michael's has tags in the bridal section. The are on a sheet of paper so you can print from your home computer. I bought a pack of 60 labels for about $3. I couldn't be bothered with cutting. They are porfrated and have holes.

Or these ones from the same seller without ribbon:

No worries. Happy to help lol
You can certainly buy individual sheets of medium cardstock at Michaels..They sell it by the sheet. If you need a thicker type you may need to buy a package (usually not even that expensive). I do recommend buying the pre-made tags though, because once you buy a tag punch, a hole punch, and spend the time you are likely to not care about the few extra bucks! lol
I happen to be super fortunate and own a cricut so I can cut tags on there. It costs me practically nothing now and only takes a minute, but of course the machine was expensive, so for a one time thing, the easiest way is to get the pre-made pre-cut tags, or the sheet of perforated ones so u can print right on them!
hope that helps!

It's incredibly affordable and you'd probably spend the same on supplies. I'm doing my escort tags with him.
i second that
