any ideas?
Re: any ideas?
My FI's mom passed away 2yrs ago. We are putting a poem & dedication to her in our programs...and at the reception, we are setting up a table with pictures & will put her pic up with a candle in front
Re: any ideas?
If she had a favorite flower or color you could incorporate that into your bou-k - and put a note in the program that you are doing so in memory of your cousin. And you could also give your aunt a coursage and your uncle a bout w/ the same flower.
Re: any ideas?
the poem idea is a great one.. I have seen that at a couple of weddings
Re: any ideas?
I love the idea of putting a prayer or something like that in your program. I also like the idea of putting 1 flower that's different frrom the others in your bo-k to honor her.
Re: any ideas?
A rememberance candle is nice. I've also seen vases where you can have a name written in memory of someone.
Re: any ideas?
We are doing a donation favor in memory of our respective fathers who have passed away.
Re: any ideas?
My brother passed away almost 2 years ago. We are doing a memorial candle, and I am walking down the aisle with a locket with his picture in it. Also, during the reception we are putting a picture on our table with the locket and candle....The candle also has a beautiful poem, everyone cried when I told them it!
Re: any ideas?
Not to be too personal, but did she die of something specific? If so, maybe you can make a donation in her honor instead of giving out favors.

Re: any ideas?
You could have one of her favorite songs played at the reception and make a dedication to her - FH's cousin did this at his wedding for his aunt who passed and it was really nice. It gave everyone a few minutes to think about her and made it feel like she was a part of the wedding.
Re: any ideas?
We did a memorial table with setting and all. The CH setup a small table with 3-4 5x7 pictures of our family (my grandparents, my only aunt, my husbands father) and then set two place settings (china, chairs and all) up with lit candles. It was beautiful. It was non-obtrusive. Guests were able to walk by and view it, the guests loved it alot of people were taking pictures. I added a poem in one of the frames also dedicated to them. They were there with us in spirit. We also made mention of them within our wedding program.
