My mom bought 2 at L&T, before she found 'the one' at Macy's.

Estelle's a great and usually not too expensive, since both my mom and MIL waited until the last freaking minute, we got both their dresses there.

Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom's, and David's Bridal are good choices too

Where are you located? My mom got hers at a store called Metamorphosis in St. James (Suffolk). They had a big selection of Jovani dresses and she found at least 5 that she liked and then narrowed it down to one she loved. They do good alts there too.
