Any ideas???

Hi everyone... I have not been posting lately because I have had a really really horrible couple of weeks. Between literally coming home crying everyday from my job to finding out some not so good news from the doctor. And I count my blessings because I have FH.

So without being said... I want to do something special for him on Sunday. I took the day off so I thought we could spend the day together. But I am not sure because it is still kind of chilly out.

Any ideas???

TIA

hmmm well if you dont mind spending money than maybe hot air balloon rides, couples massage, tickets to a game/concert, wine tasting

if you want to keep cost down -- picnics, museums, cooking a great meal dressing up all nice and blowing up balloons so your entire floor is covered, go see a movie hes been dying to see then trying out a new restaurant together, going to a cute historic little town and wandering around there the whole day!

First, I hope everything is ok. Secondly, I definitely suggest a museum day!! FM me if you want suggestions, I work at the MoMA. What about cooking dinner and just having a relaxing night at home with a nice bottle of wine?

I don't know if your life is as hectic as mine (probably is), but our favorite thing to do when we can........NOTHING. Lay in bed or on the couch and just cuddle up all day. Watch movies, order in (or cook a nice meal) and just enjoy being together. No friends, family, just us.

Re: Any ideas???

Thanks everybody for the well wishes. I was thinking of taking him to the planetarium but all the good shows are on Saturday. I liked the idea of just doing nothing however I would have to shut off every phone in our house. I just wish things would get better then I wouldn't feel like I have to make these amazing days to make up for my bad attitude.

Firstly, I hope everything is okay.

What about doing something silly to try to lift your spirits? The circus is at Nassau Coliseum through Sunday and they have tickets in all different price ranges.

Or maybe get your creative juices flowing. You could go paint pottery. There are a few places that do it, but I've only been to Once Upon a Dish on Franklin Ave. in Garden City. Depending on the pieces you pick, it's not too expensive and they have all the paints and supplies that you need.

If the weather is good, maybe take a drive out East to the wineries.

Hope everything gets better for you. Me and FH just spent the weekend in the city. It was a nice little break from our busy schedules. Maybe go out to dinner or if its a nice day, take a walk in central park or south street seaport? OR, if you too have some time off, take a little weekend trip to Connecticut. They have Mystic Seaport, and the aquarium, and Mohegan Sun and Fox Woods too!

maybe head to the city early in the day, wait on the TKTS line and get tickets to whatever show they have. get some dinner, walk around. maybe do the ferris wheel thing in toys r us/times sq or go to the empire state building.

or if the weather is nice you can do a hop on/hop off double decker bus

one of my fave places is taking the ferry out to ellis island! its so nice there. and the gift shop is great too

hope everything is okay

FH loves to go to museums, any museum really, he just loves the relaxation of it, just walking freely around, seeing all the different exhibits. Then we usually go for a nice dinner somewhere.

Stay home, unplug (turn off) your phones and enjoy eachother without and interference.

Re: Any ideas???

All great ideas. I second the hot air balloon ride. We did it in Lake Tahoe and had an amazing time. You have to get up really early though and hope theres no wind... lol

The wineries may have some live music....check out some of them, pack a picnic and a blanket...enjoy it.

Whatever you're going through, I hope you're okay now.
