Any Ideas about having the weeding somewhere eastern long Island around Southampton???
Hi, I just got engaged two weeks ago and we are searching for a place to have our wedding reception. Somewhere close to Southampton and something reasonable would be helpfull. I checked out eastwinds, georgios and the vineyards any other ideas around there or closer to SH?

Southampton Inn on Main Street and the Meadow Club in Southampton.

Meadow Club is beautiful, but E X P E N S I V E!!!!!!!!!! Plus, you have to be a member to have it there Is Gurneys in Montauk too far out east for you? Its a shame there is not more places out htat way...Maidstone Arms in Easthampton ios also a nice place, so is MOntauk Downs...
How much are you looking to spoend a head and when do u want to have it?

I am looking for cheap as possible. I don't mind it being off season,even though it is unfortunate that I can't enjoy the beautiful summer atmosphere. I just want to have a somewhat inexpensive wedding, but a good time.

Approx. how many people are you looking to have? My cousin jsut got married at the Bridgehampton Beach Club, but you have to be a member there. DO you know anyone who has a house you could hold an outside wedding reception at under a tent? And, jsut hire a catere and band or dsj and bartenders? Those are the best weddings I ahve been to! Or, maybe check into having a tent set up at Villa Maria in Watermill? The grounds are BEAUTIFUL, but I am not sure fi tehy will accomodate weddings, or what...does not hurt to cehck it out...

Probably about 175 - 200 people... i heard having a tent wedding could be expensive also. I am going to check into it though, thank you.

I don't know if you're willing to go to Montauk, but you can have a tent wedding at The Crow's Nest and some of their pakcages are really reasonable.
