Any ideas for a reception after our mini-destination wedding?

FH and I are getting married this summer and are having a small (around 40 guest) wedding in upstate NY. We have some guests who will probably not be making the trip up there and lots of people who we chose not to invite because we wanted to keep it small and intimate.

Considering that we are not doing an engagement party, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, or any other party.. I would like to have another party after the wedding where we could invite all of the people who could not come to our wedding.

FH and I live overseas, so the next time we will be home again probably won't be until January. Can anyone recommend a place where we could have a small informal party (with less than 50 probably) that isn't too expensive (preferable under $50 a person) but is still nice???

you can check with these places but they might need a minimum of at least 50 people.

The Metropolitan in Glen Cove- has a smaller private room'the club' downstairs that is great. The food and service is awesome. FH's friend works there.

Sans Souci in Sea Cliff- Has eparty there, everything was great , pics in my album

Westbury Manor, They have 2 smaller rooms and I have nothing but great things.
