Re: any ideas for children's favors?
I did goody bags and they were a huge hit. I got white glossy mini shopping bags and made name tags for them...then I filled them with coloring books, crayons, notepads, disposable camera, mini photo album...candy. They freaked and felt so special when they saw this on the table for them!

Re: any ideas for children's favors?
I had the same age group of kids and I did ceramic ice cream bowls that looked like a waffle cone and filled each with an ice cream scooper in the shape of an ice cream cone, sprinkles and either chocolate syrup or butterscotch topping. They were a big hit! Especially from my DH's 6 yr old niece who came up to me after the wedding and yelled 'Aunt Beth, Did you know my favorite treat was ice cream?' I replied, 'Really?!? Mine, too.' Too cute!
Well my regular favors are candydishes so I bought the kids mini-chocolate bars with our names on it.

Re: any ideas for children's favors?
how many are you having? Maybe something like mini races? I'd be afraid with candy the parents won't let them have it.
Or rather a bunch of games/coloring books, toys or table. JMO, They don't care about favor, more than having fun when they are there.

We are going to do hand held games as favors for the kids. It will keep them busy and they can take them home. They sell all different ones in Target and Toys R Us for like 7 bucks each.

I'm doing CDs as my favor, so I'm making the kids a CD with childrens music on it.

Re: any ideas for children's favors?
At my e-party I sat all the kids at a table in the back and behind their table I had a smaller table set up with bowls filled with candy and lollipops, ring pops, tons of candy, paper airplanes for the boys and little jewelry for the girls. Then I had loot bags on the table for them to fill them up. That kept them occupied the whole time. They all filled up their bags and then sat at the table and traded candy.
