Any July 17, 2004 brides?
Just curious to see if anyone else is sharing my wedding date!

Im the week after yours. Im the 24th.
I am glad to see that there are brides in my vicinity at least! Have you ladies booked anything yet? If so what have you go done so far? I have already booked my band, hall, church, photographer, dress and video. I am waiting on the limos and flowers. I have not yet picked out BM dresses (too early IMO) or tuxes. No invitations either, I can do that later. Good luck to all with planning!
I have church, reception location and photographer. I have gone shopping for my dress, but no luck yet.
You girls are making good progress. I am just obsessive, and I had to book early. Besides, my mom is feeling generous enough at the moment to put down my deposits, so I better strike while the iron's hot! LOL
I WAS SUPPOSE TO BE JULY 17, 2004, BUT THAT DATE AT MY HALL WAS ALREADY BOOKED. SO WE OPTED FOR 2 WEEKS LATER, JULY 31, 2004. HOPE YJE WAETHER IS NICE FOR BOTH DAYS.
I am sure that we will ALL have nice weather in July. I am glad after seeing this year that I am not getting married in June! (I will keep my fingers crossed for the June 04 brides)
I went from it being too early to do certain things (like the BM dresses) to now running out of time to do things! I want to go looking for dresses soon, the girls are getting on me!
Yes..I agree the girls have been asking me as well. There is just so much too think about..such as I wanted to do separates for the girls and have them pick their own tops so they could all feel comfortable in them but then what if many of them pick the same top and other don't I don't want it to look silly...i guess I just really need to look for myself to see what I like!! Any suggestions??
I was going to do the same thing with the seperates, but I am not sure I want to do that anymore. I will bring my sister and my cousin along before I get the whole crew together to see what I should do (since they are both completely different body sizes, I think it will give me an idea of whether or not I can put them in the same dress).
That sounds like a good plan...have you heard anything about limos...I wanted to get like a party bus and a rolls royce for me and my parents..then after the ceremony we will join the BP in the bus! Do you know of any good company's?
I put a post on the vendors board and some of them offer discounts for LIW brides. My friend that is getting married in 2 weeks did most of the dirty work for me and said that generally, most of the prices are the same, some might include the gratuity which may make it cheaper in the long run, and some of them will give you 3 1/4 hours instead of 3. We just have to keep looking around and getting prices!
Cool..thanks for the info, I did post on the Vendors Chat got some prices but I need to do some more research in that area!! I'll just have to keep doing more work!! Its like it never ends...at least its all fun stuff!
Sweet, I just returned your FM before I read your post. I would call vendors around as well in order to make sure that you will get who you want. The last time I checked there was noone there for the afternoon on the 17th, but that was a month ago. Ibooked my vendors (with the exception of the flowers limos) well over a year in advance, and I had a hard time getting a band (2 of them were already booked), it worked out in the end, but people book so early for summer weddings, that in 10 months you are not going to have much to choose from. If you have specific vendor choices, I would delay the wedding until 2004 in the fall or even 2005. On top of the vendor choices, the cost is a killer! It is almost impossible to save for a wedding in 10 months unless they are rich or getting a LOT of help! Good luck with the planning!
I am happy that you are having it at the Riveria, but I am also sad that I cant move down my cocktail hour :( When I booked they told me I could have a 6:30 cocktail hour, if I wanted, and then a few months ago the church called and told my my ceremony was moved to 2:30. I called the Riviera and they said if someone booked in the afternoon than I cant change my CH from 7 pm. I am glad that its YOU that is booking instead of some psycho witch!! Maybe they will be able to work something out. I am having a band, Times Square Orchestra, I am using North Shore Studios for photography, and I am almost ready to order my dress (I found it in march). Go ahead and book the Riviera before someone else does! I am so happy that I will know the people ahead of me! Just tell your guests not to trash the place! LOL!! Good luck and keep in touch!!!
