im getting married july 4th ... the catering hall didnt have many dates left when we went to book but i fell in love with the catering hall ... so i took the date! i mean what do people really do on the 4th of july anyway!?! drink and bbq? well they can eat at my wedding! haha .... but just wondering if you were incorporating anything 4th of julyish ... i was thinking about giving away sparklers! is that a cute idea or is just cheesy?

I am getting married the day before you and we were thinking of handing out a bunch of sparklers to our guests with a personalized match book tied to them. Other than that, probably nothing else 4th of July oriented.

I didnt want the cheese factor either. If anything, we may also have our DJ give away red white and blue beads and hats or something like that.

I think sparklers are such a great idea - I love them! My friend got married July 4th weekend this year and didn't incorporate anything July 4th-related.

Amanda that is so cool! i really fell in love with the westbury manor and really didnt care what date they gave me ... i mean we got engaged in december and booked in january and they really didnt have many dates left for summer 09 ... i really didnt want to wait to august to get married sooo here we are 4th of july ... gives my out of town guest some extra time to travel!

Hello al! I just booked the last date at the RH I fell in love with and they're last date was July 4th. So I am joining the club with the rest of you.
I was kind of worried at first, but now I'm actually really excited about it. I mean, we get to have the additional entertainment - free fireworks!!
I just got engaged and I'm really just starting out in the planning process. Unfortunately, time is against me. Have any of you booked other vendors already? Are you finding their prices are higher because its a holiday?

I think sparklers are awesome. I was at a wedding when they used them and it wasn't even the fourth. I say go for it. . can you get them in wedding colors

wait thats my gown they told me it was the one and only it tied in the whole army theame FH was going to salute me uhgggg now i need to get a different dress

My parents attended a 4th of July wedding this year and they said it was amazing!... They incorporated sparklers on the cake and streaming fireworks outside for pictures! The invitations even had fireworks on them! It was such an adorable theme! I say go all out on it! Good Luck!

OMG that bridesmaid gown is EXTRA! My parents got married in 76, the year of the bicentennial and my mom made her BM's wear red white and blue..ugh!! they also had red white and blue bridesmaid hats.. OMG its so bad....and so 70's... My mom totally had the Farrah Hair under her veil. HOT.

That was my original date, but now I think we have to push it back to 1.August, bc the place we will have it at was all booked out...loooong ago...but I can live with that....
