We need to do pre cana and our church does not have dates to accommodate us. Do any of you ladies know if your church offers pre cana to couples who are not getting married there ?
Otherwise we are going to have to rethink the church wedding

My church offeres about 4 pre-canas a year. They will take you whether you belong to that church or not. FM me if you need their number.
We became great friends with the pre-cana instructors.

the dicocese offers pre cana all year..... its expensive-- but there was no way we were giving up a church wedding

We did ours at St. Agnes and are getting married there but originally signed up for a precana at St. John the baptist. My church has a website that provided other precana sessions.
... I am not 100% sure if my Church does but u can check with them! =)

my pre cana had a couple not getting married at our church. I'm not sure how much it is, but they have a lot of different sessions.
The church is St. Catherine's of Sienna in Franklin Square. Give a call, it's worth a shot :)

We did ours through St. Christophers in Baldwin.
We are NOT getting married there but the church we are getting married in didnt offer it either.
Now sure what the schedule is like but it was really easy and the couple who hosted are reall nice.

My church, St. Edwards in Syosset, has a pre-cana program and you do not need to be getting married there to take it.

I'm sure you can do it at another church or ina diocesan program. We did ours through the diocese of Brooklyn. Don't let that stop you from having a church wedding!

your not getting married until November, there are no dates at all that you guys could squeeze in? you don' thave to go to your church to do precana, you can go to any of the churches anywhere in your diocese or even the main diocese location. that should open dates up as well. they even offer weekeday sessions instead of weekend sessions that accomodate many different schedules. that's why we did precana so early. we didn't want this to be a problem.

St rosalies in hampton bays its on a saturday from 10-430 and then you done and they give you a certificate to show you completed it and its only $75

Unfortanetely the dates they had available were only two sessions and one its my friends wedding that day so I'm going to continue to look. Thanks ladies need a church locally in the Babylon , west islip lindy area.

this is what we did. It was like $190 for the class. We didn't do precana at our the church we are getting married at. Our classes were held once a week for 2 hours and there were 5 classes. We did them at a school auditorium in Manhattan

we are doing ours in Our Lady of Lourdes in Massapequa Park and we are not getting married there. they do it once a month from on Saturdays form like 8-4 or something
we are going tomorrow!
