I never felt it was necessary to do this unless of course I won it. I think it is great if you can factor one into your budget but honestly it is not something I can afford to do.. Am i alone?

as much as it would be convenient - i'm not having one...I can't rationalize spending that money.
i'm just making myself promise to not sweat the small stuff....it is what it is that day and if my mom and sisters and I aren't resourceful enough to fix whatever comes up, so be it...

I dont think I should pay someone to make decisions for me. I mean i'm sure they make the day run a bit smoother but I dont think it's really needed.

Nope. Not getting one. My friend had one for her wedding and all she did was call out people to stand in her pics. I said she paid how much for that? I don't think they are necessary. But, if you can swing it then go for it!!
