Because of continuing weather-related equipment problems, Metro-North will cancel or combine 31 of its afternoon rush-hour trains.
The reduced schedule may add about 20 minutes to the trip time of certain trains this evening. It may also lead to more crowded conditions than usual on-board trains.
Customers are advised to check departure monitors for any change in your train's departure time or platform assignment. Listen for announcements and look for Metro-North employees who can assist with any additional information you may need.
The affected trains leaving Grand Central Terminal are:
HUDSON LINE
The 5:09 PM train to Poughkeepsie and 5:12 PM train to Beacon are combined, departing at 5:12 PM. The 5:28 PM train to Poughkeepsie and 5:31 PM train to Beacon are combined, departing at 5:31 PM. The 5:39 PM train to Irvington is cancelled. The 5:59 PM train to Irvington and 6:02 PM train to Greystone are combined, departing at 6:02 PM. The 7:23 PM train to Croton-Harmon is cancelled.
HARLEM LINE
The 4:46 PM train to North White Plains and the 4:49 PM train to Crestwood are combined, departing at 4:49 PM. The 4:58 PM train to Southeast and the 5:01 PM train to Chappaqua are combined, departing at 5:01 PM. The 5:24 PM train to Brewster and the 5:27 PM train to Chappaqua are combined, departing at 5:27 PM. The 5:41 PM train to Southeast and the 5:44 PM train to Chappaqua are combined, departing at 5:44 PM. The 6:04 PM train to Brewster and the 6:07 PM train to Chappaqua are combined, departing at 5:44 PM. The 6:29 PM train to Southeast and the 6:32 PM train to Chappaqua are combined, departing at 6:32 PM. The 6:35 PM train to North White Plains is cancelled. The 6:59 PM train to Chappaqua and the 7:02 PM train to North White Plains are combined, departing at 7:02 PM. The 4:05 PM train to New Haven and the 4:11 PM train to South Norwalk are combined, departing at 4:11 PM. The 4:16 PM local train to New Haven will only operate to Stamford. The 4:36 PM train to New Haven is cancelled. The 4:41 PM train to New Haven will make stops at Greenwich, Stamford and all stops between Stamford and New Haven, with New Canaan and Waterbury connections. The 4:49 PM local train to New Haven will only operate to Stamford. The 5:01 PM train New Haven will make additional stops at Stamford, Green's Farms and Southport. The 5:09 PM train to New Canaan is cancelled. The 5:14 PM train to Harrison and the 5:20 PM train to New Rochelle are combined, departing at 5:20 PM. The 5:23 PM train to Bridgeport and the 5:28 PM train to South Norwalk are combined, departing at 5:28 PM. The 5:26 PM train to New Canaan will make an additional stop at Stamford.
