Hi there! Yay, another Metropolitan bride! I love that place and have heard nothing but great reviews everytime I tell somebody that's where our reception is. Did you go to the tasting? The food was awesome! I snooped at your hair pics which look great. Can I ask where you got that hair piece? I've been looking for something similar as I am just not a tiara girl... Great to see another Metropolitan girl!

I'm not getting married there, but I had my engagement party in the After 9 (the lounge downstairs), and I can't tell you how fabulous it was. The food and service was incredible. You have absolutely nothing to worry about!!!

I'm not a Metropolitan bride but I have been to two weddings there in the past 18 months and they were fantastic!!!! You will not be disappointed. The food was great and the setting is stylish and unique. It's the closest place on LI resembling an NYC lounge/ retro dance hall. I really love it there!!!

well, i'm glad to hear the expereinces at the metropolitan were good. i had my food tasting and it was divine!!!!
i can't wait for my wedding there! i just don't get why so few brides choose the met. it is so pretty inside, the food is awesome, and the price is good..... i'm just always surprised there are so few of us....

I am getting married in AUG 2006 there... I can't wait ... the food is absolutely great....... the decor and beautiful... I my guest list is about 60.. a small intimate reception to be held in 'the Metropolitan Club' which is a antoher cathering area of the metropolitan... It's has a casual & lounge style feel to it..... see pix.. I got a great deal on the price $75 pp b4 tax/tip....
YAY! I'm SO EXCITED to see this thread! My FH and I will be getting married there in April 2007. I went to the showcase a few weeks ago and nearly DIED the food was SO GOOD! Eileen is great!
I don't understand why more brides are not using them? Some people mention a size issue and i just don't know what they are talking about. They are all missing out on THE BEST FOOD! Have you seen some of the cakes that their pastry chef has made? I have seen some that seriously could have won competitions!
We have it good! We don't need a Day of Coordinator! They do such a great job on their own! I'm so excited!!!

I am a Metropolitan bride also.... picked out our menu and cake on Tuesday... still loved the place as much as the day we selected it!

Just got married there and it was awesome!! Still getting compliments on the food & the cake turned out so nice (if my album works there is a pic in there) but I had just given her a copy of my invitation and asked her to match it and it came out & tasted so good! I was soooo happy with them, I want to do it again!
You girls are going to have such a great experience with them!!!!
